Discover the Uniciti International Education Hub (UIEH)
With more than 2,600 students enrolled in higher education – 40% of them international students – the Medine Group's education hub embodies a unique concept, combining education, research, and innovation. The hub’s 10th anniversary, in April 2023, saw the unveiling of a new name – the Uniciti International Education Hub – and a new visual identity to match its ambition: to become an internationally renowned educational centre and a pioneer in higher education in the Indian Ocean. Various events have also been organised for the students and alumni of UIEH and its partner universities to celebrate this milestone: an open day and job fair; conferences and networking activities; a hackathon on April 27th and 28th…
"The UIEH wants to attract more and more globally acclaimed institutions and international students. To achieve this, we intend to be at the forefront of innovation and to further develop our educational offer, in particular by expanding our academic, training, and skills development programs," explains Dhanjay Jhurry, Managing Director of Medine's Education Division.
The UIEH emphasises what differentiates it from other institutions – a unique focus on serving local and regional needs, across four clusters: digital, engineering, health, business management, and finance. In addition, the UIEH is working towards establishing a Uniciti Innovation Hub. Reinforcing this initiative, the UIEH recently signed an exchange agreement with the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Africa, as part of the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) program and will soon unveil several new features that will consolidate this innovative ecosystem. Stay tuned!
